Tracey Cook

I am an Associate in the family team at Chubb Bulleid. Having moved to Somerset in 2017, I joined the firm in 2020 and qualified as a solicitor in 2022.
I specialise in private matrimonial law, advising clients on divorce and matrimonial finances; child arrangements; cohabitation and separation agreements and pre-nuptial agreements.

I take particular pride in building strong and trusted relationships with my clients often during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. I combine a calm and approachable manner with technical expertise to provide clear, practical advice which is tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.

What I do

I advise clients on a broad range of complex and sensitive family law issues with a particular focus on achieving practical, child-centred solutions and fair financial outcomes following the breakdown of a relationship.

In financial matters, I provide clear and strategic advice in relation to the division of matrimonial assets, including property, pensions, business interests and income. I work closely with my clients to understand their priorities and ensure that they are fully informed about their options, helping them navigate what can be an uncertain and emotionally challenging process.

I also have extensive experience advising parents who are unable to agree arrangements for their children, including where a child should live and how they should spend time with each parent. I approach these matters with sensitivity and pragmatism, always keeping the welfare and individual needs of the child at the forefront of my advice.

My focus is on taking a holistic approach to each client’s circumstances, combining supportive and constructive advice with robust representation where necessary, with the aim of achieving a proportionate and lasting resolution for my clients and their families.

A bit more about me

Outside of work, I enjoy making the most of the beautiful South West countryside. Having recently discovered kayaking and paddleboarding, I am enjoying spending more time on the water and exploring the area from a different perspective.
