Tori Rogers

I joined Chubb Bulleid in 2009 initially as a receptionist for a couple of years. I was then given the opportunity to become a secretary for a Partner Bruce Scobie and gain experience in this job role. I worked for Bruce for approximately 10 years before he retired. I have worked my way up to a legal assistant and now assist a Partner and Head of Conveyancing Heather Scobie based in the Wells office. I enjoy conveyancing as it is a process which suits my methodical mind and it certainly keeps me busy which I like.

What I do

I assist Heather with the day-to-day tasks that come with selling or buying a property for our clients. This includes sending clients their initial paperwork at the beginning of a transaction, submitting searches, drafting Land Registry forms, etc. Clients can speak to me direct if Heather is unavailable and I do my best to guide them through and answer any questions they may have. Once a matter has exchanged contracts I then deal with preparing the financial information for the clients and seeing their sale or purchase through to completion and deal with the registration of their property.

A bit more about me

I have lived in Somerset all my life. Away from the office I am married with a 6-year-old son who is a mad keen footballer. He trains with several clubs which takes up most of our time. He dreams to be the next Ronaldo! When I am able, I enjoy playing rounders which I have participated in for approximately 20 years, I like going to the theatre and spending time in the sun on holiday with my family.
