Sandra Moores

I am an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and have worked in Private Client since 1996. I have lived in Somerset all my life and I am based in our Wells office. I joined Chubb Bulleid in 2015 following the merger with another firm of solicitors in Wells, T G Pollard & Co.

What I do

I am predominantly a probate manager within the team, but I also prepare Wills and lasting powers of attorney. I help families through what can be an emotional and stressful time, particularly following the death of a loved one. My probate work covers both small and large taxable estates. In the course of my work, I am happy to make home visits to clients who may find it difficult to call into the office. It is important to me that clients feel they have my support and understanding.

A bit more about me

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

I have two children and four grandchildren and try to spend time with them as much as I can. I also enjoy walking the dog and holidays in my touring caravan. I am also a member of the National Trust.

What’s something clients might be surprised to learn about you?

I enjoy making music, though not so much these days. In my youth I was a member of The Glastonbury Town Band, playing third cornet. My favourites were the marches, particularly Punchinello by William Rimmer.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be doing?

I have always had a hankering for the services. I think I would have enjoyed a career in the police, particularly CID.
