Russell Munster

I’m a Residential Conveyancer and have been working in conveyancing since January 2023. Alongside my role, I’m currently undertaking the Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme with the University of Law where I am due to qualify as a solicitor in 2029/30.

Before moving into law, I spent over 10 years working in estate agency where I developed a strong appreciation for the conveyancing process and the importance of good communication, managing expectations, and delivering a positive client experience. This experience ultimately inspired me to pursue my own career in the legal profession.

I joined Chubb Bulleid because I wanted to continue developing my legal career as part of a firm with a strong reputation and a genuine focus on its clients.

What I do

I help clients through the process of buying and selling their homes, as well as other residential property transactions including transfers of equity, first registrations, and remortgages.

I understand that moving home can be an exciting time, but it can also be stressful and sometimes overwhelming, particularly when there are unexpected issues or delays. My approach is to provide clear, practical advice and to keep clients informed throughout so they understand what is happening and what to expect at each stage.

My goal is to keep matters moving as efficiently as possible while making the experience as straightforward as I can for my clients.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work?

For me it is helping clients successfully complete their transactions. Buying or selling a home is often one of the biggest financial commitments someone will make, so it is rewarding to know that you have helped guide them through what can sometimes be a complicated and stressful process and played a part in helping them achieve their goal.

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

Outside of work, I enjoy baking, spending time outdoors with my Golden Retriever Dolly, and have a keen interest in physics and astronomy.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be doing?

If I weren’t a lawyer, I would most likely have pursued my interests in physics and astronomy. I spent most of my childhood wanting to become an astronaut and I have always been fascinated by space and the universe. Sadly, I eventually had to accept that becoming an astronaut was probably not the most realistic career plan!
