Maxine Heal

I have worked as a residential conveyancing fee earner for 37 years, including 26 years with Chubb Bulleid. I continue to find the work both engaging and challenging, and my long service with the firm speaks for itself.
I joined Chubb Bulleid because it offered the opportunity to work closer to my home in Somerset and to be part of a firm at the forefront of residential conveyancing. Although I was happy commuting to Dorset each day, the decision was an easy one—and I have never looked back.

What I do

I specialise in residential conveyancing and enjoy helping clients through what can be an exciting, but sometimes daunting, time. I support clients with sales and purchases, including executor sales, and have experience helping first-time buyers and those using Help to Buy. I also deal with freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages and transfers of equity, always aiming to make the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.

A bit more about me

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping clients through an important milestone in their lives. I build trusted relationships so that every client feels supported, understood and well informed, whether they are buying their first home or have moved several times before.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling and taking our cream-coloured Cockapoo, Tilly—affectionately known as “Teddy”—on outings. I also enjoy retail therapy, which my husband says am very good at!
I am a keen sports enthusiast, particularly running and rugby, and I support Bath. Clients are often surprised to learn that I played centre-forward for the Chubb Bulleid football team for several years.
