Louise Wall

I’m an experienced commercial property solicitor and enjoy the variety that comes with working across a broad range of property matters. I qualified in 2005 and, since then, have worked at a number of firms both in the UK and overseas. I joined Chubb Bulleid in April 2025 and am based in the Wells office.

I enjoy getting to know my clients and understanding what they’re looking to achieve, whether that’s buying an investment, selling a property or managing a portfolio. Commercial property is rarely just about the bricks and mortar, and I like helping clients navigate the practical and legal issues that come with it.

What I do

I advise on a wide range of commercial property sales and purchases, with particular experience in investment acquisitions and disposals and transfers of going concerns.

I also advise both landlords and tenants on commercial leases, as well as helping clients with portfolio and lease management. This includes the day-to-day issues that arise during the life of a lease and making sure clients have the right advice when circumstances change.

I also have experience acting for landlords on the grant of leases for solar developments and telecommunications equipment, which can involve some interesting and more specialist property considerations.

A bit more about me

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

I live near Wells with my husband, our two children and our spaniel. Most of my time outside work is spent ferrying the children to their various, and enviable, social commitments – which certainly keeps me busy!

Where would you most like to travel?

Japan is high on my bucket list. I’d love to visit during cherry blossom season and see the spectacular scenery for myself.

What’s something else on your wishlist?

I’d love to rescue some ex-battery hens. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, although I suspect my family and our spaniel may have views on that!

What’s something clients might be surprised to learn about you?

I used to be a reasonably good pianist and, at one point, even considered pursuing a career in music. In the end, I decided to take a different path and went into law instead. I still love music, though, and would really like to rekindle that passion again one day.
