Jack Dovey

I am a Legal Assistant currently supporting the Private Client team at our Wells office. I joined Chubb Bulleid in 2025 after graduating with a degree in Law from the University of Surrey in 2024.

Having spent five years away from Wiltshire and Somerset, I was keen to return to the countryside and build my career closer to home. This ultimately led me to Chubb Bulleid and the Private Client team, where I am enjoying developing my knowledge and experience.

What I do

As a Legal Assistant, I provide day-to-day support to our Private Client solicitors, assisting with a range of tasks across their files and helping to ensure matters progress smoothly.

My role includes assisting with new client enquiries, answering telephone queries and supporting the reception team when required. I also assist with the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as supporting our solicitors with Estate Administration matters. Generally, I provide administrative and practical support across the team.

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

I like to keep busy and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I enjoy playing a variety of sports, including football, golf, padel and tennis, and commit to a running event every now and then.

When I’m not watching or playing sport, you’ll most likely find me enjoying an afternoon in a beer garden, heading out on a hike or going camping with the dogs.
