I’m a Legal assistant in the residential conveyancing department; I passed my law degree in September 2025 but have been working as a legal/conveyancing assistant since 2022. Ive lived in Somerset my whole life hoping between Glastonbury and street and have always had an interest in law as my father has been working in the industry for 20+ years.

What I do

As a Legal Assistant in conveyancing, I help fee earners with the legal work involved in buying, selling and transferring property. This includes preparing documents, speaking with clients and other parties involved in the transaction, carrying out administrative tasks, and keep matters progressing smoothly from instruction through to completion. This role is important in ensuring property transactions are handled efficiently and on time.

What do you do when you’re not in the office?

I spend most of my free time ferrying my daughters to football matches or training whilst trying to spend some time with the wife….

What’s the most rewarding part of your work?

One of the most rewarding parts of being a Legal Assistant is knowing that I have helped clients through what can often be a stressful and important time in their lives. I enjoy building relationships with clients, keeping them updated throughout the process, and seeing the satisfaction and excitement when their transaction completes. It is rewarding to know that the work I do behind the scenes helps make the process smoother and gives clients peace of mind.
