Canon Grange Wells

I am pleased to confirm that we have recently acquired some new offices in Wells.  They are Canon Grange, Sadler Street, Wells and have the privilege of backing on to the Cathedral Green and probably with the most stunning view of all in Wells of the West Front of the Cathedral.

We purchased the offices because we have managed to fill up our existing offices in Wells, Street and Somerton and we need the extra space.

We are excited to be able to use this 14th century building which we plan to staff with our Wells commercial property department, Wells corporate department, Wells probate and private client department and our matrimonial department.   The main centres of activities in Wells (7 Market Place, Wells, Somerset  BA5 2RJ), Street (Strode House, 10 Leigh Road, Street, Somerset  BA16 0HA) and Somerton (Langler House, Market Place, Somerton, Somerset  TA11 7LZ) will remain.  This gives us the flexibility to increase staff numbers in order to make sure we provide the services to our clients that they need.

The premises have been of interest to me for many years.  I have been privileged to be with the firm for 30 years.  When I came to Wells they were owned by a local fellow who had lived there for many years.  Indeed he told me that he thought there were secret tunnels between the property and the Cathedral.  I have not yet found them!    I have watched out of my office window (which looks over the Cathedral Green) as the building has evolved from a family home, to a guest house and ultimately to a Wells Cathedral School boarding house before our acquisition.

We expect to be up and running on the 1st March.   Our main reception and point of contact in Wells however remains at 7 Market Place.
